Independent

This game, with play inspired partially by the old Intellivision game Astrosmash, features an edgy smattering of a storyline, but really, is a high speed shootem up.

You play an astronaut, whom upon arriving on another planet, decides to claim it for himself. As a result, all heck breaks loose.

Independent makes rich use of OpenGL fragment and vertex shaders. Independent also features an innovative sound system, based on a low level interface to the MIDI sound system.
