Immersion has been granted $90.7 million in damages in its lawsuit over Sony's annoying vibrating controllers. They've also gotten an injunction against the sale or manufacture of the controllers, PlayStation consoles and 47 games that were found to infringe on Immersion's patents.
A stay has been granted, pending the appeals, during which time Sony will rack up compulsory licensing fees on top of the $90.7 million judgement.
Sony has acquired the rights to produce a game based on the TV series "24"... The game is to be set between seasons two and three, and will explain what happened with the assassination attempt against President Palmer that occurred in the final seconds of season two and was mentioned for all of one or two seconds during season three.

They only vaguely describe their technical approach, but it looks rather interesting. It sounds like they're proxying functions in the original code in order to implement a high-level interface to the game engine. Very interesting.
